Protecting people today, and pushing senior governments for the emergency care and flood protection Delta needs tomorrow.
Keep Delta Safe
Safe neighbourhoods depend on strong local emergency services.
- Continue supporting Delta Police and Delta Fire, and protect the No Call Too Small approach
- Oppose replacing Delta's local police service with a regional Metro Vancouver police board
- Advocate for reliable emergency care at Delta Hospital and stronger flood protection for homes, businesses and farmland
Stand Up for Delta
Some of Delta's biggest challenges require action from senior governments. We will continue advocating for:
- A permanent solution to Delta Hospital's emergency room challenges
- Restart of the Beedie Long-Term Care facility
- Delivery of the River Road overpass, and the flood protection and infrastructure our community needs
Sound
Keeping City Hall's finances disciplined, so taxes stay low and Delta's economy stays strong.
Keep Taxes and Fees Low
Families are already facing higher costs, and City Hall needs to manage public dollars carefully.
- Freeze scheduled City fee increases in 2027
- Work to keep property tax increases among the lowest in Metro Vancouver
- Protect police, fire, emergency response and the core services residents rely on
Support Local Businesses and Jobs
A strong business community creates jobs and helps support the services residents rely on.
- Work with local businesses and attract new investment
- Responsibly grow Delta's commercial and industrial tax base
- Create more local opportunities while reducing pressure on residential taxpayers
Secure
Building the infrastructure, growth plan, community spaces and public voice that secure Delta's future.
Invest in Roads and Infrastructure
Reliable infrastructure is essential to a growing community.
- Move forward with long-requested improvements to McAdam Road
- Add more bus shelters along 112 Street, 116 Street and Scott Road in North Delta
- Continue investing in roads, sidewalks and neighbourhood infrastructure, and keep pressing the Province to deliver the River Road overpass
Grow Delta Responsibly
Growth should respect the communities people already call home.
- Support gentle, community-led growth
- Review Delta's Official Community Plan with stronger public input
- Make sure residents have a meaningful voice in how their neighbourhoods change
- Streamline building permits so applicants receive clearer, faster decisions
Build Stronger Communities
Parks, recreation facilities and community spaces help people stay active and connected.
- Continue the YAK Pass — free recreation access for youth 18 and under and residents 75 and older
- Invest in parks, sports fields and community amenities across North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen
Give Residents a Stronger Voice
Residents should have a meaningful opportunity to be heard before important decisions are made.
- Restore the public question period at regular Council meetings
- Bring back standing community committees
- Provide more opportunities for public input on major development proposals before a final decision
