Meet Erica BEARD for School Board

Erica is a dedicated community leader, parent, registered nurse, and advocate who is deeply committed to serving Delta and supporting local families. As a lifelong Delta resident, she cares deeply about the strength of the community and the opportunities available to children and youth.

She has proudly served two terms as a Trustee with the Delta School District, where she has worked to support student success, strong schools, and meaningful engagement with families and the broader community.

Her commitment to public education is both personal and longstanding. As a Delta graduate and the parent of two children currently attending Delta schools, Erica understands firsthand the importance of a strong public education system. She brings both lived experience and leadership to her role, with a clear appreciation for the incredible work being done across the district, as well as the challenges facing students, staff, and families.

Outside of her trustee work, Erica is an experienced registered nurse with a background in leadership, operations, and patient safety. Her professional experience has shaped her collaborative, thoughtful, and solutions-focused approach to leadership. She is passionate about helping people, strengthening systems, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

In addition to her professional and community roles, Erica is a busy mom and active volunteer who values connection, wellness, and community. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring Delta’s beaches and parks, and travelling.
