When budgets are under pressure, the classroom must remain the priority.
- Look for efficiencies across the District while protecting teachers, Education Assistants, student services and classroom resources
- Manage reserves carefully so short-term decisions don't create long-term financial pressure
Plan ahead, not year to year
Strong financial management requires looking beyond the next budget.
- Strengthen three-year financial planning

- Keep Delta schools on solid financial footing

- Work with the City of Delta and other governments to share costs

Make the journey to school safer
Students should be able to get to and from school safely.
- Work with the City of Delta and other partners on crossings and sidewalks
- Address traffic and safety concerns near schools

Families, staff and taxpayers deserve to know how decisions are made and where education dollars go.

- Support clear reporting, so the community can understand the choices facing the Board
