Meet Nimmi DAULA for School Board
Nimmi Daula is a dedicated community leader, educator, and advocate committed to service, inclusion, and creating positive impact. She has proudly served as a Trustee with the Delta School District since 2022, where she champions strong schools, equitable access to education, and student well-being. She also serves as the liaison to the Delta Youth Advisory Council, supporting youth voice, leadership, and meaningful engagement in the community.
In addition to her work in education, Nimmi is the Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer at Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS), where she works to strengthen community partnerships and support programs that uplift individuals and families. A Past President and active member of the Rotary Club of Surrey-Newton, she is deeply rooted in service and community leadership, and has been recognized many times by Rotary for embodying the principle of Service Above Self.
With 16 years of experience in media, Nimmi is also a respected radio host whose programming creates connection, joy, and a sense of belonging, particularly for seniors. She has played an active role in community dialogue as both a panelist and moderator for a variety of discussions, reflecting her commitment to inclusion, representation, and meaningful engagement.
Nimmi has been recognized for her outstanding community contributions, including honours from the Surrey Now-Leader and the Certificate of Exemplary Service to the Community in honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. Through every role she takes on, Nimmi remains committed to building stronger schools, more inclusive communities, and meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to thrive. She lives in Delta with her husband and their two sons, and remains deeply committed to serving the community she proudly calls home.
